The combined experience of our team is 150 years or more specialising in operations, commercial and chartering services, maintenance and dry-docking, safety & quality and various marine works. We are highly skilled professionals with many years of hands-on managing experience with different types of ships, including offshore support vessels, cargo vessels, container vessels and large tankers.

Capt Mohan Sivasundram

Chief Executive Office & Director

Capt Mohan Sivasundram was appointed as CEO of Coral Ship Management in December 2018, and has served as a Director of Coral Ship Management since its inception. He founded Coral Ship Management in 2018 and is responsible for leading our local & global ship management activities. Capt Sivasundram has almost 40 years of global shipping and oil & gas experience, 14 of which were spent with Neptune Orient Lines in Singapore in various capacities. Capt Mohan then worked 12 years with Tanker Pacific Management, Singapore one of the largest private tanker owner in the world as head of Health & Safety and was Designated Person Ashore and concurrently 2 Years as Director of Tanker Pacific Offshore Terminal Malaysia and 9 years with Bumi Armada in Malaysia & Nigeria heading the International Operations, Health Safety & Environment & Marine personnel. While in Bumi Armada, Capt Mohan was instrumental in formulating the training standards and for Dynamic Positioning and initiated Cadet training program and ship staff welfare scheme & implemented fleet wide planned maintenance system. He also has extensive Ship-to-Ship transfer experience working in the US Gulf.Capt Sivasundram sits on the  board of Coral Ship Management.

Mr.Dominique De Soras

Director

Mr Dominique de Soras, a French citizen, graduated with an Engineering degree MSC in Mechanical Engineering from ECAM in Lyon – France. Mr de Soras has 35 years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry which covers area of  Petroleum engineering, Operations and Ship Management, Commercial, and Majors project in the O&G industry. Mr de Soras was CEO of MHB – Malaysia Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd (2011-2015), and prior to that he held several position in the Technip-FMC group such as President of Subsea Division, member of Executive Committee (2006-2010), and Vice president of Offshore Resources Profit Unit (2001-2006). He is currently also the Director of DSnrgy Sdn Bhd, consultancy firm operating in Malaysia.

Capt Vikram Sharma

Director

Capt Sharma has spent his whole working life of almost 50 years in the maritime industry.He served the first 20 years at sea, including ten years in command of various types of vessels. The remaining years have been spent working ashore in various key positions in different aspects of the industry. He has extensive global experience in Ship management, Shipping Agencies, , Port & Terminal operations and management, fleet operations, QHSE Management systems design, implementation and auditing, marine manpower development and vessel security systems.

Capt Vikram Sharma sailed with Shipping Corporation of India and Neptune Orient Lines for two decade. From 1993 to 1998 Capt. Sharma served with ABS Marine Services, as a consultant as well as auditor at the Singapore headquarters for the South East Asia region, where he assisted over 50 organizations, including ship management companies, shipping agencies and shipyards, to achieve ISO9000, International Safety Management (ISM) as well as International Ship Managers Association (ISMA) Code certification.

Between 1998 and 2000 he was employed by one of the largest private tanker owners headquartered in Singapore as the Designated Person Ashore and also tasked with completely overhauling and rewriting their Quality and Safety Management System (QSM) for dual certification. In 2000 Capt. Sharma joined P&O Ports (South Asia & Middle East Region) as Regional Manager for Quality, Safety, Environment and Training, posted in Mumbai. In a short span of a couple of years he was appointed the Operations Director responsible for the overall functioning of 5 terminals across the region in Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India. He was also involved in the design and layout of some of these terminals as they were conceived during his tenure.

In 2006 he joined MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) as Managing Director, MSC Nigeria. He was instrumental in developing that agency into a very profitable business, growing it several times over in capacity as well as profitability. His services were recognized by the Aponte family, owners of MSC, and in 2008 he was appointed as the CEO of Terminal Investment Limited (TiL), the container terminal owning/operating arm of MSC.

During his tenure at TiL, Capt. Sharma was responsible for creating and establishing the company as one of fastest growing, globally recognized container terminal operators. The TiL portfolio of 14 terminals in 2008 grew to 50 terminals in 2018, with throughput and profitability also correspondingly tripling. In 2016/2017 he was recognized by Lloyds List as one of the ten most influential persons in the container terminal industry. 

Dato Ramli Shamsudin

Group Advisor

Dato Ramli had an illustrious career with Royal Malaysian Navy for 30 years. He joined Britannia Royal Naval College, England and has had held various senior position including Commanding Officers of Malaysian warships, Director of Naval training, Commandant of the Malaysian Naval College and Assistant Chief of Staff Naval Plans, development & Operations. Datuk Ramli was also Head of the Naval Project Management Team responsible for overseeing the construction of four warships in Italy from 1981 to 1986.

Upon completion of his duties in the Public Service, he joined Encorp group Sdn Bd  in 1997 and was involved in civil construction, education & media business until 2000. He then moved back to the Maritime Sector and became the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Maritime Training Academy (ALAM) until 2005. From 2006 until 2009, Dato Ramli was an Executive Director of Encorp Berhad and his focused areas were in Employee Developments, Cost Rationalisation Initiatives, Business Strategy & Plans. In 2010, Dato Ramli became the Chief Executive Officer of Endaya Construction whose core activities are in road construction and maintenance in Sarawak.
